This folio of posters is the product
of a collaboration between stained glass artist Ted Goodden and
twelve poets from London, Ontario, Canada. Borrowing from the concept
of a perpetual, or reusable, calendar, images and the text are married
into something new. Scenes from everyday life become timeless images
for the new millennium ... an illuminated manuscript intended for
the kitchen wall. A black bordered, acrylic frame displays the poster
of the month while storing the rest. Simple fittings are located
on the back of the frame for hanging on an anchor screw. Artist's
Note ... This collaborative project grew out of two observations:
1. After a month paintings tend to become invisible.
2. A poem needs repeated reading to yield it's resonant meaning.
